Entire House

Home Again

Fairfax, Mantua

Design was complete and cabinets were ordered for the kitchen renovation on June 15, 2012.  Then on June 30, came the destructive derecho thunderstorm during which a very large tree fell across the house crushing the upstairs in half.  The house was then redesigned to include the previously discarded addition ideas on two floors, including a larger kitchen and family room, and reconfiguring the upstairs to create an expanded master bathroom and closets, a large storage closet and a new guest room.  Construction was completed and the clients moved back into their home on Good Friday, exactly nine months to the day after the tree fell.
